Chai Li, the youngest, was adopted from Vietnam as a baby and is a successful and happy thirty-something until her world is shattered by a humiliating turn of events. Herb has known the family since childhood.

The series, without any doubts, has a cast that will blow your mind: Justine Clarke, Shane Jacobson, William McInnes, Stephen Curry, Michelle Vergara Moore and Claudia Karvan, playing our characters: Bernadette Flynn, Luce Tivolli, Matt Tivolli, Herb Island, Chai Li Tivolli and Caroline Tivolli (respectively).
